Contaminant Transport Modeling
MILCO engineers employ contaminant fate and transport modeling to assist clients needing forecasts of contaminant concentrations at a point of exposure, such as a drinking water well or creek. MILCO engineers use contaminant fate and transport modeling to track potential routes of contaminant migration (soils, groundwater, air, etc.) and persistence of specific chemicals in the environment. Variables such as sorption, dilution, density, convection and dispersion are quantified in areas where contamination impacts groundwater quality, to assist clients in contaminant removal and cleanup.
